    PC Crash

    Hello,

I recently built a new system designed to be mid range gaming / office PC. I'll try to keep this short.

    System Specs :

    AMD Ryzen 5 2600x

    MSI x470 gaming

    16gb Corsair Vengeance 3200 ram (2x8gb)

MSI Radeon Vega 56 Airboost OC 8gb

Antec 650w Bronze PSU .... THIS WAS CHANGED TO .... EVGA 850 GQ 80+ GOLD.

So all up and running lovely no issues at all for 3 days then PC started to crash and always in games, would happen at random times , sometimes after 10 mins and then could be 3 - 4 hours. The "crash" is screen will freeze with a short sound "burp" from the speakers. It then needs to be hard reset.

I have monitored temps and all are within the ranges of what they should be. So my 1st thought is GPU so I RMA'd it and got a replacement, 2 days this time and it started happening again. So then i thought PSU, bought a new 850w it wasn't this as its still happening. Then about a week ago there was a driver update for the GPU, no more crashes for 5 days and then 2 days ago it started happening again 5 crashes within the space of 7 hours, yesterday it crashed twice.

The Reliability Monitor in windows 10 is sometimes showing HARDWARE ERROR, but doesn't give information as to which piece of Hardware.

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
