    PC disconnecting from internet


    Just got a new PC mainly for gaming and am having a problem that is unique to this PC in that im getting disconnected from the WiFi for seemingly no reason. This doesn't happen to my laptop, Xbox or any other devices. Sometimes it will be good and stay online for a couple hours at a time but then i go through stretches where its every 2 or 3 minutes that I have to reconnect to the WiFi. Im using a USB WiFi adapter specifically this one: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-1200Mbps-TECHKEY-Wireless-Network-300Mbps/dp/B07J65G9DD and i know going Ethernet would be much better but that is just not a possibility given my current living situation. I have tried some solutions such as uninstalling the device under network adapters in the Device Manager program that occasionally work for a little bit, but I am looking for a permanent solution to this problem. Willing to try pretty much anything at this point so any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated.     Internet disconnection

    I don't know why I have disconnection while using the Internet. Is it due to the ISP or the router or modem? The modem and router all have lights on. It disconnected for less than 30s then back on.

    In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

    • Do you get any error message when the internet disconnects?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • Are you able to connect through wired connection?

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to run the internet troubleshooter as below and check if it helps.

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • Once the window open click on View All located on the left navigation pane.
    • Locate and select Internet Connection and run the in build troubleshooter.

    Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
    “Fix network connection issues” and check if it helps.

    uTorrent disconnecting my internet connection

    AT&T wasn't much of a help. All they suggested was to replace my router and modem with their products.

    The disconnections never happen when I surf the web
