Windows 10: PC Freeze/ Hang up

I've been trying to figure this one out for going on a few years now and I feel like i'm close to a possible cause. What has started all of this was my PC kept getting stuck at the 30% Windows update mark. Still haven't been able to update yet. I am forced to hard boot when this happens. Over the past year or two I have performed a factory reset and replaced my hard drive completely. Of course during the factory reset my PC froze and got stuck into a never ending loop of trying to boot and restoring previous version. I decided to take it to Geek squad to see what they would say and you'll never believe it. They kept it for a month or two and told me that they replaced every piece of hardware except my power supply and case. And it still didn't fix anything. I finally was able to get my PC usable but still had the freezing issue. I was able to boot using a USB and media creation tool to obtain the update and a copy of windows 10. I have ran the SFC and DISM. At first they said they found an issue but I continued to run them a few more times until they said they fixed the issue. I continued to try and figure out what could be the issue. I then started to update all my drivers when my PC froze during the update of the PCI Express Root Complex Driver all others updated just fine. I started running trouble shooters just to see and I got to the Hardware and Devices Trouble shooter and it froze again. All other trouble shooters run fine Also these freezes are reproducible not random, it's every time i run that specific driver update or troubleshooter. My PC still can't update. It can download the updates perfectly fine but when they get done and require a restart/shutdown to finish the update it will freeze after a few seconds. I hope someone can figure this one out given all this information. Given everything from above I think I might have a driver or hardware issue... pc 'hangs' or freezes randomly

While in use suddenly nothing responds to mouse or keyboard for long minutes, then starts up again ok for a few minutes. Have tried all usual restart/etc. online suggestions without luck.

Have found in Task Manager - Processes - there are listed 4 'Suspended" items, Could they be the culprits causing the 'hang or freeze'.

Can't determine exactly what the suspended are so am hesitant to 'End Task' them.

So I can confirm that the issue has been completely resolved. I've not had any of the previously mentioned freezes or hangs for a total of 2 weeks now. Whether this was through the windows update or the audio drivers, or just a combination of everything that everyone has suggested thus far, there is no further visible signs of problems that I've noticed.
