    PC freezes on Black Screen during startup & I can't get into recovery


    Hi,

    Last night I clicked on Shut Down and Install Updates before I left my house. I came home a few hours later and noticed the computer had frozen on the Shut Down screen. I then held down the power button in order to shut it down. When I turned it on after, it booted up and made it past the starting Windows logo with the dotted spinning circle below it. Following that there is another dotted spinning circle but it looks a little "choppier" that the previous one (almost like a lower frame rate). After that, it freezes on a black screen. I tried to get into the recovery options, but when I get to the Recovery screen it freezes there and I can't click on anything, let alone see my cursor. I am stumped at what to do, so if anyone has any options/solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

    Continuous Freezing at the Lock Screen on Windows 10

    Here is the background of the situation...

    I simply was watching a video then BAM! The screen freezes up and turned into a black screen
    (still bright like a startup black screen) but i can
    still hear audio from the video in the background    . So i decided to restart the computer
    but on the lock screen, during the process of entering my password, the computer froze again!

    I have tried restarting my computer many, many times but all leads to the same result of a freeze on the startup page (at random times to. Sometimes it freezes before i enter my password or during the welcome loading logo).

    Currently I'm in Safe Mode and have had no problems with freezing screens at sign in, but
    converting back to regular start up just gives me the same problem again!

    Can someone please help me? It would be tremendously appreciated!

    (NP: This is the new anniversary edition of Windows 10)
