    PC Freezes on Windows 10 Update


    I downloaded Media Creation Tool and tried to upgrade my PC from windows 8 to Windows 10, but everytime it gets stuck at 48%.

    I have to manually force shut down my PC which rolls back the update.

    Then I tried installing from Bootable USB Media Disk created form Media Creation Tool. I am able to install Windows 10 but now PC Freezes everytime while updating windows 10 to October 2020 update version 20H2.

    I am having Acer Aspire E5-571G-35GA Laptop which is running on I3-4030 CPU with 4 GB RAM.

    I also have another same Laptop which is running on windows 10 and creates absolutely no problems on updating.

    Please provide me with best possible solutions.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Maaaaaaaaan 1803 is pile of poo

    Some people have problems with edge, others with ie, chrome, and other apps. Hangs freezes, crashes. Microsoft says they will fix this crap on May 8th

    *sigh*

    Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

    had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.
