  1. PC games constantly crashing

Hi all, I don't know where to begin to describe the issues I've been having lately. First, here are my system specs: Windows 10 Home version 2004 Intel i5-9600K ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac mobo RTX Asus Strix 2080ti Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 16GB ram Samsung NVMe SSD 970 Evo plus 500GB OS Intel 660p 2TB storage Corsair TX650M PSU It started when some but not all of my games would crash at some point during play. Sometimes 5m in - sometimes 30m in. Some games didn't seem to crash at all. I don't have any trouble running windows, browsing, youtube or anything like that. In an attempt to fix the issues with my games, I updated my windows to version 2004 and all of the system and video drivers, etc. This didn't fix the issue and in fact seemed to make it worse. I'll admit I used driver booster to auto-update some of the drivers, but this hasn't caused issues before. Now, whenever I start a game that is even remotely challenging to my rig, it will crash within 1-2m of play. Just a quick return to desktop without any error messages. I have since returned to earlier Nvidia drivers but the problem persists. I thought maybe it was my storage SSD it's been doing some weird things as of a few months ago, like losing track of games and preventing access to the drive until restart so I installed a game on my OS drive - and it still crashed. I thought maybe it was the RAM so I tried switching sticks, but could not come to anything conclusive. I've since used OCCT stability and stress testing software to test each of the different components. Although I only ran each individual test and the whole system test for between 5-30m each, they all passed without errors. What confuses me more is I can leave some games running in the lobby which seems to stress the machine for a long time, but as soon as I try to enter a match I will crash pretty quickly. I feel I should also add that I'm currently quarantining in a hotel room, so in desperation I wondered if maybe there were power limitations on the outlets. They've been a bit finicky and a few times I couldn't start my PC for a while... but in that case wouldn't the stress tests show some errors? If you need any more info or anything from me let me know and I will get back to you. I'm pulling my hair out here. I'm honestly at a complete loss. Please help :.

    :)

  2. Gta 4 crashing constantly

Sup everyone, i seem to be having a very annoying problem. I purchased gta 4 recently and i installed it and it runs quite well, my system is listed in my specs. The problem with the game, is that about +/- 5 minutes of playing, the screen gets funny coloured squares and my whole pc crashes. I have xp sp3 installed. I have tried numerous things like clocking my cpu back to stock but to no avail. My pc is not overheating, thats for sure, i dunno. My mate just told me that it might just be a bug, but it seems strange that i bug in the game would cause my whole pc to crash. Any suggestions?

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
