  1. PC High Latency Issues after installing new motherboard

I recently upgraded my MSI B450 Tomahawk to a ASRock B550 Steel Legend, my previous hardware worked completely fine until I installed my hardware into the B550, I updated BIOS and installed all of the necessary downloads from the manufacturer website but my pc still has issues running things smoothly. It can run games but not as well as it should and when I open OBS studio to record gameplay, OBS can't even run at 60fps to capture smooth gameplay. I've done a fresh and clean install of windows 10 twice and I've had no luck. I've scoured the Google universe for a good week now and I just don't know what to do anymore.

    Components:

    Mobo: ASRock B550 Steel Legend

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

    RAM: GSkill TridentZ Neo DDR4 3600 32GB

    GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 2060

    SSD: Samsung EVO 860 1TB

    HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

    CONCLUSION
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:46:14 h:mm:ss on all processors.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

Highest measured interrupt to process latency µs: 11158.40
Average measured interrupt to process latency µs: 8.174916

Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency µs: 11154.20
Average measured interrupt to DPC latency µs: 4.043025

    REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: nvidia virtual camera.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 84031
Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 43896

  2. High DPC latency

I use my Dell XPS for recording and live playback but the system suffers from high DPC latency caused by ACPI driver.

I removed Dell audio drivers and installed those from RealTek with no avail. Latency is an issue because I need this computer for live recording. Please your advice.

    STORPORT.SYS high latency issue

    Hi,

I've been having difficulty to fix once and for all the latency on my new build. Right now my STORPORT.SYS is a bit high according to Latencymon. It spike frenquently to about 800-1200us.

I have 1 SSD and 1 HDD on this computer.

Under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, I have put back all: Standard SATA AHCI controller drivers back. (there is 4). The drivers version is 10.0.18362 693

If I put back AMD drivers version 1.3.1.276 I'm having the same average latency.

I tried to optimize both drive and did defrag the HDD. Results still remain the same.

I'm on Crosshair hero VIII / Ryzen 3700x.

AHCI is enabled in the Bios
    Sata Port Enabled
NVMe raid mode is enabled (not sure if this should be enabled for me)

    Thanks

PC High Latency Issues after installing new motherboard

    High Latency

I'm having an issue with high latency. After a reboot the computer runs fine....but over time the latency continues to increase so eventually everything starts to respond so slow that it is unusable and have to do a hard restart. I haven't been able to
figure it out. I bought an external network card to use instead of the onboard one hoping that would fix it....but same results. Anyone have any ideas??
