Windows 10: PC is lagging when nothing is wrong with the internet

    PC is lagging when nothing is wrong with the internet


    recently after a couple hours or so my pc will start to lag, in game I will freeze and not really be able to anything every couple of seconds and then I will be able to move again for a couple of seconds, out of games when watching stuff it will lag and freeze ever so often. restarting the pc doesn't change anything even leaving it off for an hour or so doesn't really do anything it only seems to be fine for a couple hours if it's off overnight and when I get on it again the next day. I'm pretty sure it's not the internet cause every other device works perfectly fine when it comes to connectio

    Internet lags while gaming

    Can surf internet with no lag, Playing games like TF2, Gmod, Counter strike :global offensive. Max resolution. cable speed is around 20 mb/s with 5 mbs up

    Internet Lag Issues

    Well guys, my internet is being gay. We are paying for 6MB down, and 364KB up from bellsouth. The most I have ever seen either way is the 364KB. I am wondering if there is anything wrong. Because just with my PC and the Xbox on, my internet is so laggy that playing any game online is nearly impossible. But see the Xbox's speed is fine, no lag, just me. My PC is hooked up through an ethernet cable, the Xbox is wireless, we also have a laptop which is wireless, and causes my PC to lag. Please help I am confused to the point of no hope.

    We would like to know more about your lag issue:

    • What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
    • Does the lag occur in a particular game?

    In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • On the left pane, click on View All.
    • Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.
