Windows 10: PC is stuck booting into Win10 after several upgrades and updates to my PC

Hello.

Before I begin discussing about the issue I am facing, I will list the specs of my PC:

• Ryzen 7 3800X (Not Overclocked)
• 2x16GB GSkill Ripjaws 3200MHz
• Gigabyte B450M DS3H rev 1.0
• EVGA RTX 2060 (Not sure of exact model)
• 500 W PSU
• 1x 500GB HDD (Main Boot Drive)
• 1x 2TB HDD

Now here’s the series of events that occurred that lead to the situation:

2 days ago I bought my new CPU, the Ryzen 7 3800X. At the time I had a Ryzen 5 1600 in my PC. In anticipation for the new CPU, I first updated my graphics drivers to the newest update, and installed McAfee to perform a clean sweep of my PC. Nothing serious or of any concern was observed.

Afterwards I went on to update my BIOS. The update path that I took to update my BIOS for my motherboard was F4 >> F32 >> F40 >> F51. The reason why I had to update 3 times was because Gigabyte had specific instructions for installing the F51 BIOS update.

When I updated from F4 to F32, nothing serious or of any concern was observed. My PC booted normally after the update. However, when I updated from F32 to F40, I encountered the boot “loop” for the first time. My PC wouldn’t boot for nearly an hour. Thinking that the next BIOS update would fix it, I restarted my PC, Q-Flashed my BIOS to F51, and the situation happened again.

I then proceeded to shut down my system and upgrade the CPU. Everything went smoothly with the upgrade from Ryzen 5 1600 to Ryzen 7 3800X. When I turned on my PC, it booted normally and was working properly.

Fast forward to today, I restarted my PC so that Valorant can run because of its kernel level anti cheat software and I experienced the boot “loop” again. During the time between the moment I upgraded my PC to right now, I did not turn off my PC or put it to sleep.

Here were the methods I tried to fix the problem:

• 
  Try to boot into safe mode via the windows installation software. [This didn’t work because there was no “start settings” under the troubleshoot category]
  
  
• 
  Diagnose and repair boot drive via Windows Installation Software [The process couldn’t fix it. I checked the log files via the command prompt from the Windows Installation Software and at the end of the log, it said the the drive booted successfully]
  

These are the only methods I tried to fix my PC. Anything not mentioned hasn’t been tried yet.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

December 2018 Win10 update trashes PC boot

I am absolutely furious at the latest update which has trashed the boot process of my PC.

Just before Christmas, I signed out of my PC, noticing it said "Update and restart". I clicked, saw the screen indicating the progess of the update and left the room while it did its business. I returned later to see the Automatic Repair in process.

I then got stuck in an Automatic Repair, and soon got out my repair disc and 64Gb stick with Win10.To my surprise, the USB ports were not listed in the UEFI boot sequence (though the mouse and keyboard worked) and I could not boot from the DVD drive nor the C: ("0") drive.

I could read the files on the C: drive and DVD drive from the Command Prompt option. The automatic repair option found the restore created when the update started but failed to complete. Then I discovered all restore items were absent. I tried various suggestions on the MS help page but they all failed to complete. Just about all off them started by saying boot from USB or DVD, neither of which work.

It seems to me the whole boot setup has become corrupted, both on the C: drive and the UEFI.

I have ordered a replace (identical) AS Rock mo-bo, and will rebuild the PC.

And this has happened before, when I originally upgraded to Win10 from the previous version of Windows. (There's a thread here about somewhere - windows 10 update 1511 fail - Microsoft: Windows - Tek-Tips )

Unbelievable.

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

Win10: Windows update is stuck at never ending loop ? ( Last Win10 updates in 2017 ). Can't update the laptop. Genuine Win10 on a HP 2015 17.3" laptop that originally had Win8. ( CPU:AMD A9, GPU:Radeon R5 ).

If I download this below file does it manually install the latest updates of Win10 (=2018 April Update) without losing any files currently on the machine ? ( Mainly paid Office 2013 )
