    PC loses internet connection, then requires windows activation but nothing works


    I’m using my phone to type this, as my PC was working fine for months. I log in earlier today, watching YouTube, but I notice my adblocker isn’t working. Not only that but my video editing program isn’t opening when I click on it. I figured a reboot would do the job, but as I log back in I find out my pc can no longer access the router. It tells me “TP-Link is disabled”. I try to update the drivers, this doesn’t work. I try resetting network settings, nothing changes. Now it’s lost my router all together and my pc says I need to activate windows 10 again. But when I click activate, it hangs as

    Please let us know if you receive any error code or error message.

    Try the following methods and check if it helps:

    Method 1: Run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.

    Follow the below steps:

    1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

    2. Select Troubleshooting.

    3. Select View all on the top left corner.

    4. Click on Internet Connections.

    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

    If the issue persists then follow the below method.

    Method 2:

    I suggest you to update the Network adapters driver from the Device Manager.

    Follow the below steps:

    1. Right click on Start button and click on
    Device Manager.

    2. Expand the
    Network adapters driver from the list.

    3. Right click on the driver and click on
    Update driver Software.

    Games that dont require an internet connection?

    I was thinking this same thing myself. Most games today require a internet connection. Some are just for the activation part and you can play the game offline.

    Upgrading to Windows 10 from windows 7 and losing internet connection

    A couple of days ago I upgraded my desktop to windows 10 after getting one of those MS prompts. However now I cannot access the internet and suspect the drivers from the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-ud4 motherboard does not support the internet drivers required. Searching the manufacturers website has not given me any joy either. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
