Windows 10: PC not utilizing installed RAM

Windows is seeing my install RAM correctly, but not letting apps use them freely. It looks like it is trying to use less than 8 GBs of RAM at any time. Apps like Microsoft Edge browser and Photoshop is using only a gigabyte of RAM when it should be using more, which causes some serious lag while having free RAM.



I have two sticks of RAM installed, an 8 GB one, and a 16 GB one. They used to work fine when I first installed them. I'm not sure when it started having problems. I've tried looking for fixes like fixing pagefile sizes, looking in msconfig to disable RAM limitations, but nothing worked for me. Can anyone help?

Removing WLAN Utilities

Wan update instructions below state remove wan utilities,

Uninstallation instructions:

• Turn WLAN Off
• Manually uninstall "WLAN Utilities" package from the installed applications.
• Turn WLAN On

I can't find them under installed applications anywhere. Could somebody give step by step instrucions, I've looked in :

Installations/ already installed.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
