Windows 10: PC stops taking input but still runs programs

Hey everyone!Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.Every now and then normally around once or twice a day give or take my PC will essentially freeze and accept no input. I will be in discord and I can still chat with my friends both ways, listen or watch whatever I was watching, but cannot type, move the cursor, or even CTRL+ALT+Delete. Essentially, EVERYTHING works but input. To clear it up I have to do a hard reboot and I'm beginning to get concerned by the frequency and of hard reboots.This happens sort of randomly, more often when streaming but not always. Hi,

There are certain apps in Windows that aren't possible to be stopped as they're needed by your system. If you want to stop certain apps to be stopped from running in the back ground, follow the steps below.

• Press Windows key, and type in "task manager".
• Choose Task Manager > More details.
• Right-click on the apps that you want to stop from running, and click on
  End task.

Let us know what happens after following the suggestion.

 

My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

 

Windows 10 Audio input to programs broken

Recently my audio input, from USB headset and USB guitar cable have stopped working. Going into Windows 'Sounds' and enabling 'Listen to this device' outputs the audio as expected; the problem is not with the devices. However, as soon as I try to use them with any other program, discord, for example, no audio input is detected by discord.

I have tried everything I can think of and some suggestions from Googling around;

• Updating everything - windows, drivers, all related software
  
• Rolling windows back to the last build
  
• Trying different USB ports
  
• Reinstalling drivers and software
  
• Running Windows troubleshooters
  
• Playing with device properties settings
  

But nothing seems to work, any suggestions?
