Windows 10: PC suddenly lagging, even after clean install

I would run the test's posted above before you do anything else.
These will help determine exactly what you need to do next.

Here are the screenshots from HDTune:

 

1 bad sector, isn't fortunately the end of the drive, but you need to prevent data being written to it.
To do that, in an admin command prompt enter following command
Code: chkdsk /r[/quote] If you are prompted to schedule or something, press 'Y' and reboot your system.
Please be patient, it could take a couple of hours depending on how much has to be done.


Warning Do not shut down your system while chkdsk is running, shutting down could make more damage.

 

Still at 10% after 3 hours, is that normal?

 

A little, it happens that it stays at a few % for hours but spontaneously finishes.

 

Chkdsk ran successfully but the bad sector is still there, so is the lag. Also when the PC restarted after chkdsk it made one long beep instead of the normal quick beep.

 

Please check in the event logs for chkdsk and let us know what chkdsk reported

The hard drive itself should be fine now.

The lag is still prevalent, which suggests there may be damage to other components?

 

With the quote below from your OP yes it does, however there are quite some things to try that can possibly cause it.

It would be helpful if you could provide us with a zip from the BSOD Posting Instructions, the data it contains (nothing personal) could be relevant to find the cause(s).

Just a fast question.. are you hearing any odd noises coming from the drive at all?? If so.. get a new one. Noise is a bad thing to have coming from any HDD.

 

I have attached the required data. Just wondering if it matters but CrystalDiskInfo is showing the reallocated sector count has risen to 68.

The hard drive is pretty quiet, nothing matching failing hard drive sounds it seems.
