Windows 10: PC suddenly lagging, even after clean install

Hey, i also have this issue and would like your help with how to run these tests please. Must admit am not very knowledgeable with computers but do the basics. Ive also made a thread in relation to this and have followed some peoples advice but unfortunately have not fixed the issue.

 

Have you read post's 34-38 in this thread about cleaning the heatsink and fan's ?
Are you able to do this to start with ?

What model is your HP computer ?

 

Chkdsk is a filesystem repair tool. A bad sector is physical damage/wear on the platter of the harddrive. You cannot fix a reallocated/bad sector with any software. You can only tell the filesystem to skip that sector (if using linux).

Formatting the drive will not help unless you can perfectly align your partitions to not fall on the bad sector(s).


Replace your hard drive as soon as you can. Your error rates and bad sectors indicate an impending failure will occur. How soon is anybody's guess.


You have a recently failed sector as well. You also have ran out of spare sectors (typically 63 spares in an HDD). From this point forward ny failing sectors can and likely will cause full filesystem corruption.

Overheating HDDs are the primary cause of failing sectors, followed by physical shock, and normal wear and tear.
