  2. Okay, I followed those steps and it says I have full access of the key and its subkeys, but I'm still being blocked. My pc has a history of failing to recognize the administrator. A few weeks ago, I purchased McAfee and was on the phone for hours with higher level techs trying to get it installed into my pc. I just don't understand what the problem is.

  6. I called HP to try to help me with this mess. They had me on the phone for around 6 hours while the tech did basically everything I had already tried. He finally told me I would need a recovery disc, but when I called back to get one, they told me they no longer had them for my model PC. I finally just took it to my local repair shop. They got rid of the corrupted file (which they said happened with a faulty Win 10 installation), and reinstalled Win 10 and all of my files. They did all of this for the same price it cost to call HP!

    That's what I did. After a couple of hours of going back and forth, they finally agreed to refund me. I will never call their support line again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else - absolutely terrible customer service.
