Windows 10: PC updates to 1909 only. Won't proceed to 2004 or beyond. Really?

I was just showing off my new PC in another thread when I noticed it won't update past 1909. I'm getting this --





That should already be ready. Don't you think? We're already a feature update ahead of that.

I thought I once went to a MS site that tries to update for you in these situations.

pc won`t update

I`ve been trying to solve this problem for 3 months to no avail.

PLEASE HELP!!!

EVERY time the computer check new updates, the following message appears:

We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet.

My PC is connected to the internet, so this could not be the problem.

you`ve only directed me to a window link, which I don`T really understand.

Could ANYONE PLEASE send me a simple answer how I can solve this problem step by step???????

Skype Won´t work... games won´t work...

Making backup and re-format...

Maybe I Install a Windows 7 again, At least, all of my games run smoothly ...Sadness!!

1909 vs 2004

I thought (maybe) or suggested (possibly) this seemed to be true immediately with 2004, but after being with it for a few days I do find & feel 2004 superior to 1909. No, this isn't from fancy lab set ups & testing
or Swiss stop-watches... nothing but, plain ole everyday use.

2004, same hardware, same software, definitely is faster, snappier, more responsive & more fluid than 1909 (was).
