    PC won't boot in normal, won't run virus scans in safe mode


    My Dell PC won't boot up in normal so I went into safe mode.

    I tried running Windows virus scan (quick, full and Windows Defender Offline scan) but it doesn't do anything. A pop up from the Defender scan says the computer will restart so save any work, but the doesn't restart. Manual restart doesn't trigger a virus scan

    I booted into Safe Mode with Networking to try to check for updates or anything but it won't connect to the internet even with Networking enabled (I'm assuming that means I can access the internet but I'm a noob so)

    Any ideas?

    Applications won`t maximize

    Following a W10 update, applications only open as minimised on the taskbar and won`t maximize. I have tried closing them minimised but no good. Can anyone help ? thanks
