Windows 10: PC won’t respond to anything I do

Yesterday, I accidentally left my PC on sleep mode all night and when I woke up, I noticed it so I turned it off because I won’t use it yet. After a few hours, I turned on my PC and after I signed in, I couldn’t do anything; I can’t open task manager, I cant open my files, I cant open the windows icon, all the icons in the desktop including the ones pinned in the taskbar disappeared. When I try to move my cursor to the taskbar, it does the loading thing so I can’t press the windows icon and when i press it on the keyboard, it doesn’t do anything. I tried to go to the task manager by shortcut but the cursor just turns into the loading thing and it disappears after a few seconds. When I try to click anything with my mouse, the desktop just refreshes. I was able to go to ctrl+alt+delete and i can sign out but I still can’t go to task manager. Please help me I have school tomorrow and I have 2 projects due today that I am yet to pass. I also have personal files here. please help me, I beg of you.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
