Windows 10: PerAppRuntimeBroker DCOM Error 10016

Hello,


I have DCOM error related to CLSID {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239} with application APPID {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}. I wanted to solve the problem by myself using guide thati found here :

I passed the part where i had to edit CLSID permissons i changed TrustedInstaller for Adminisrators and switched permissions to Full Control.

Now i'm supposed to Locate the service using the name and APPID, right-click and select Properties > Security in Component Services and then after clicking Launch and Activation Permissions i should click on Edit

However, when i do that i get the messeage it's a rough translation so please bear with me : At least one permission entry added to the object Registry value is of unknown type and can't be displayed. That prevents me from making any changes.

Also, I'm confused with the fact that i only see the below groupnames:


-All Application Packets rough tranaslation

-Unknown Account with extremly long digit sequence

-Self?


What am i doing wrong? Above all should i treat as a security concern of some sorts? I hope somebody come up with the sollution to that problem even if it's a marginal issue.

DCOM error 10016 on shutdown

Is this procedure supposed to resolve the DCOM 10016 errors or the Service Control Manager 7031 errors? The recent MS updates have apparently solved the DCOM 10016 errors I was getting for "Runtime Broker." Now they only happen for Cortana.

It is actually the SCM 7031 errors that I would like to eliminate now.

Well, I am bumfuzzled! I went in to my Event Viewer to take a look before applying the process referenced by Qwinn to fix the 10016 Dcom errors. There were no new ones, so I rebooted several times and still no 10016 Dcom errors! I don't know why, but I'm glad they are gone. Thanks to Qwinn and I will save your reference for future use, if needed.

 

Why Certain DCOM 10016 Events Don't Matter

Many thanks for this, but I don't see PerAppRuntimeBroker!


PerAppRuntimeBroker does not exist at all in this Dcom Config.
Also the %SystemRoot%\System32\dcomcnfg.exe does not exist by default in the PowerRun v1.3, I had to add that but I'm not seeing any help from using this PowerRun app.

Unless I haven't done something else to make this PerAppRuntimeBroker appear in the Component Services then I don't know what else to do.

Do I have to separately add this using Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ?
