    Performance/Battery - AMD A10-9600P or 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-6200U m

My friend posed a question to me, one which I really couldn't answer well because I never bought an AMD Windows 10 Based PC before. Is an AMD A10-9600P with an integrated R5 GPU a bit better and future proofed on a Windows 10 OS than an Intel Based 6th Gen i5 - 62000U with integrated HD 520 graphics? Both are low budget Laptops, Windows 10 Home editions PCs, both benchmark roughly the same, with the AMD a bit higher, even with just a R5 Integrated on board graphics. I never like buying these laptops because they bog down easily and don't last more than a year or 2, especially with just a 5400 rpm mechanical HDD. They only boost 720 P displays, so I am assuming they both aren't worth buying. Heck, if it is worth buying something 300 bucks more, I'd say to him, buy a Lenovo with a 1080P display at least and a lower ended Nvidia card, it just helps a lot with the CPU and your apps... I am clueless on giving an answer...

    :)

  2. My Windows 10 slower than My Windows 7?

I just bought a new HP laptop. Core i7-7500U (7th Gen), 8Gb RAM DDR4-2133MHz. Win 10 Pro (1511 Nov update)

It runs apps significantly slower than my older Toshiba Core i7-5500U (5th Gen), 8Gb RAM DDR3 Windows 7.

My work PC is a HP EliteBook Core i5-6200U (6th Gen) 8Gb DDR4-2133 Windows 7 and it runs rings around them both!

    Go figure?!

Windows 10 is just slow compared to Windows 7. I think I'll return the new laptop for a refund... or I could improve its' performance by installing Windows 7 on it!

HD Graphic Driver for Windows 8 has stopped responding and has successfully recovered'

Very strange that you have this driver version. It doesn't work well with your Intel Graphics 520 card.

    Try this :

Download from Intel's site this driver : win64_154014.4352.exe

    Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40 6th Gen]

Uninstall the old one (Device manager/Display adapter/ Intel HD Graphics Family/Driver)

    and install the new one.

    Tell me if it works.

    Good luck
