Windows 10: Performance Issue and Failed to install on ‎18-‎04-‎2019 - 0x8024000b

I am using i3 7th generation dell laptop and it is performing really very slow, i contact shop from where i bought, they told me you need to update windows time to time , my current version is 1809 amd64 2019-04.

what should i do to increase my laptop performance ?


Another issue was , i encounter this message - Failed to install on ‎18-‎04-‎2019 - 0x8024000b - update for defender antivirus.

How do i install this again ?

2. Failed to install on ‎4/‎7/‎2019 - 0x8024000b

I repeated the update process, it checked for availability, didn't really download (going by the time it took the previous time in downloading), and went through install process, but after restart same message appeard that can't install, undoing the changes.

I then ran Troubleshooter for windows update, it didn't identify the problem, all items were marked "issue not present."

Please guide what to do?

Thank you for this list. I performed all of what you recommended in the order you listed. There were no corruptions detected after the scans completed successfully. I downloaded
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable (x86 and x64). I chose the x86 file because I checked the file explorer and
the program files show x86. After I downloaded it and installed and checked "system about" and noticed that the system type is
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. I hope I didn't make the problem worse. Please advise with steps if I need to correct this. After all of the steps were completed, I checked for updates at the Store and none were needed. I
also checked for windows update and none needed there also. It still shows under "other updates" that these 2 have failed: 9P1SWVRL6FKD-Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.6 (failed-0x8024000b) and 9NBLGGH3FRZM-Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00

I still cannot open the MS photos app. These issues continue. Can you please let me know if I need to make a correction for downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable

Failed Windows “other” updates 0x8024000b

I checked my windows update and under "other updates" 3 have failed. The Microsoft photos app stopped working since the last windows update in late Oct 2017...app doesn’t open. I’ve troubleshooted and cannot find what may be causing this issue with the
app other than these failed “other” updates. I will list them here:

I have run a windows update troubleshooter and It says issue was fixed. Checked on updates but it’s not picking up the failed updates. It didn't work. Photos app is still not working. The “other” updates are still listed as failed. Think any of these failed
windows updates have anything to do with the issues I'm having with the MS photos app? How can I get ALL updates, important and “other”?
