Performed Repair Install but still have some various issues

    Nisko,

"2 Even if only to investigate the problem, I think you should disable gaming entries such as SetPoint.exe.
3 These should definitely be disabled to see what effect they have on the problem as their names imply some effect on the display - Screenpresses, SnagIt."

If they are not the cause then disable everything in Task manager, Startup and see what happens. If the fault persists, re-enable them so you know you are starting from a normal condition then restart the computer and use the Safe mode, Clean boot procedure article I gave you a link to.

    Best of luck,

    Nisko,

Try the fault finding approach you suggested and also uninstall some of those programs you really don't need. Do a repair install before a clean install if needed since this will preserve your installed programs and accounts. Always ensure you have a full backup before doing a clean/repair install.

Thank you, Steve! I just deleted all drivers and reinstalled them. There were 20 drivers - only 19 installed. Dell tech is looking into the one that didn't install. I've attached the error message.

I'm going to start on the Startup apps now because the new drivers didn't help my issue.

FYI: I always make an Image backup with Macrium Reflect every time I do something. I have the PAID version so I can go in and recover any file or folder if I want. Usually, however, I just reinstall the entire image. Also, all my data is on a separate drive and I image that frequently also.

I've already tried a Repair Install (more than once). I wonder if I try the Repair Install again if it would make a difference (sort of like incrementally repairing the OS).

Performed Repair Install but still have some various issues

    Bob,

No, I do not think there is any merit in repeating the Repair install. Isolating the cause of the problem [by disabling Task manager startup items & then by using the more methodical Clean install approach] is much more relevant.
