    Permanently deleted files

I saw the administrator 'Document' displayed in the Quick Access of a guest account and at first tried to move the file back but the PC kept stating that the route was the original source. So I picked an item from the list, deleted it and checked back in the system's account profile and found the it still intact. Now reassured that files belonging to the administrator account could'nt be affected from a guest account and since the'Document' failed to be rerouted to its origin, I confidently and permanently deleted the file. But now when I checked back on the system I found the whole lot gone from the administrator account which ought'nt be. Been trying in vain to restore the file back. Where in the PC is the wizard to restore the file back without necessarily a back up?

    :)

How to Disable Permanently Delete Files

    Hi Andrew,

Whenever you delete a file or folder, Windows asks for your confirmation before moving it to Recycle Bin but Microsoft has removed this confirmation on some versions (Windows 8). Since you are using Windows 10, you can choose whether to have the file deleted
    permanently or not.

If you also want to re-enable delete confirmation dialog, kindly the follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin.
    • Click on Properties, untick the option Don't move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted.
    • Click Ok to save the changes.

For any concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.

    Regards.

  4. Permanently deleted files

    delete large file permanently.

There's no way to recover your files if you've deleted those permanently. We suggest you to always have a backup storage to save your important files just in case this scenario will happen in the future.

    Regards.
