    Permanently deleted files

Hello! First of all I'm really sorry if I'm asking too much of this and if the thread isn't really related to Windows 10, somehow I find it related because I want to use practically Windows 10 and another program or something for this job. And I know you guys are really the experts around here, so its my best shot to ask you on this forum. Okay, returning to my problem: I want to recover some photos and videos from my previous phone that is dead now. I'm talking about an Android. I know it would have been easier if I could be on that phone and download some file recovery app but that's not the case because its dead for good.Anyway, I know I'm asking the impossible but I have an idea. As you know, phones tend to have Google Photos installed and some other drives that save your photos and videos, something like One Drive. I'm talking about a Samsung Galaxy S7 if that helps. As I recall, if you delete photos from your phone, the specified apps will delete them too, I dont know for sure but I think so. Now, I want to use my laptop to recover those deleted photos and videos maybe from Google Photos or from OneDrive. So my question is on short, is there any way to recover long deleted photos and videos from these apps on a laptop? Is there really anything I could do to recover them besides from that? Sorry for all the blah blah blah but I really wanted to explain to you my problem. Thanks in advance!

    :)

How to Disable Permanently Delete Files

    Hi Andrew,

Whenever you delete a file or folder, Windows asks for your confirmation before moving it to Recycle Bin but Microsoft has removed this confirmation on some versions (Windows 8). Since you are using Windows 10, you can choose whether to have the file deleted
    permanently or not.

If you also want to re-enable delete confirmation dialog, kindly the follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin.
    • Click on Properties, untick the option Don't move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted.
    • Click Ok to save the changes.

For any concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.

    Regards.

    delete large file permanently.

There's no way to recover your files if you've deleted those permanently. We suggest you to always have a backup storage to save your important files just in case this scenario will happen in the future.

    Regards.
