Windows 10: Personal Vault is Unavailable error - can access online but not locally

I recently moved to OneDrive and got brave enough to use the Personal Vault. I'm in the process of populating OneDrive for the first time, so it is synchronising 100's of GB held in an external driveI then modified a file in the Personal Vault locally. It could not sync because the other 100's of GB were ahead of it in the queue. So, trying to be safe, I powered off & disconnected the external drive to ensure it would sync the Personal Vault.All seemed fine it appeared to sync but when I powered back on later, reconnecting the external drive to continue syncing, I got t

OneDrive Personal Vault - accessing from Android device

I am trying to access my OneDrive Personal Vault using my Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone.
Whatever I try I end up with a screen telling me to create a Personal Vault, rather than opening the existing one, which was in fact the 'starting point'.

Steps taken:
- sign in using my Outlook account
- select verification method (send a code to my gmail account)
- paste that into the verification screen

After clicking [Verify] I get this "Create a Personal Vault"-screen.

Any suggestions?

Blocked access to personal vault

I am showing a red arrow for the status of my personal vault. I use the authenticator to access and error code is 0x800706d9. This has happened to me before and I had a MS tech support person re-install the shortcut. Now I think I need to do it myself.
I only have 1 file in my vault and when I got support the last time, he figured out that the file is on my local machine and not in the cloud storage associated with my account. Need help to restore access. AEG

 

Personal Vault has disappeared from OneDrive October 2020

This morning, Oct 23, 2020, started Windows 10 Pro, logged in via Hello, accessed OneDrive, double clicked on 'Personal Vault', used Micorsoft Authenticator, to confirm access, and Personal Vault window opened. Don't usually need that specific Window open,
so closed 'X' it.

Some 15- 30 min later needed access to a different folder on OneDrive, opened OneDrive and noticed the Personal Vault folder was missing or not showing in the top list of folders where it usually is. Then to check if Personal Vault had closed, I right clicked
on Excel to access a 'pinned' file that is stored in the Personal Vault. That file opened with no issues. So Personal Vault was still open.

Completed some work, rechecked for the Personal Vault folder on OneDrive using Windows Explorer and it was still not showing at the top level directory on OneDrive. Decided to save and close all work and reboot. Upon reboot Personal Vault is NOT showing
on OneDrive!! And cannot access files stored there - error 'Item selected is unavailable'

Please help immediately - this NOT good.
