    Personalization changes in Windows settings are all lost after a shutdown or restart


    Over the last few days, I've noticed than any and all personalization changes I've made in Window settings on my Windows 10 desktop PC with all current updates are undone and lost after a shutdown or restart. Has anyone else observed this?

    As an example, I set my screen saver as shown below:

    Settings/Personalization

    Hi,

    We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

    • Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
    • Click on Personalize.
    • Select Colors.
    • Click on High contrast settings.
    • From the drop-down menu, select None.
    • Click Apply.
    • Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

    Let us know the result.
