Windows 10: Personalization of desktop background

I just got a new pc running Win 10.

I am very much into personalization - I want to feel that this computer is MINE.

I put up a background picture last week, chose a custom color as my background color and let Win 10 choose an accent color.

When I went to change to a different picture today, Win 10 would not allow me to change to a custom background color.

Every time I hit custom color, the page winks off.

It worked last week, but not this week.

Any thoughts?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Logo Key + I. Then click on Personalization.
• Click on Background to change it.

Hi,

To change the desktop background into a solid color, see the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop, and select Personalize.
• Under Personalization, select Background.
• On the right pane, click on the drop-down menu for Background, and then select
  Solid color.
• Choose your preferred color and it should immediately make changes.

Lost desktop background

I did a Search & Distroy spyware scan the other day, and one of the suggested "fixes" said something about removing Active Desktop. Like the muppet I am I clicked yes and am now without a desktop background picture.

Does anyone have an idea how to reverse this? If I try to select a picture it's simply not added as a background.
