Windows 10: phone sd card bug in explorer Windows 10

Apparently this bug hasn’t been adressed by Windows developers for 6 years now and keeps happening to people. Whenever it emerges as a question on this forum the “support” member answers the same way without even understanding the question by pasting the default response and showing how it is supposed to look like when there is a conflict .What they don’t even know is windows explorer options are different when you try to copy files from a computer to sd card or vice versa compared to doing it from a normal hdd to hdd . To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• When you say that "Now all is working .......OK", are you able to resolve the regarding the SD card by removing the SIM card from the phone and re-inserting?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have tried to resolve the issue?

I suggest you to install free File Explorer app from Windows Store and check if you are able to access SD card without removing the SIM card from the phone.

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
My SD card reader has stopped working.
In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
I can't format the card as it is not listed.
I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
Please help!
