    Aside from these two applications other windows apps are working fine but these two are keeps on closing. When trying to do emails it will close in the middle of the process, same goes with the photo app. I cant work on this 2. I tried repairing and resetting the app with no help.

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Photo and mail app not working properly :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!

    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



    I suggest you to follow the steps below to

    • When you say that "mail ending in outlook.com", have you configured new Oultook.com
    • How many account are configured in the Mail app?
    • Is the email address in the Mail app as same as Microsoft Account with which you have logged in?
    • Are you logged in as Microsoft Account or Local Account?
    • When you say that "my old mail from this account", have you configured as POP 3 or IMAP account in the Windows Live Mail?
