Windows 10: Photo app properly sorts photos by date taken, but all videos appear as taken today...

I have an issue with videos not sorting chronologically as to date taken in Windows 11 Photo App. Photos all sort properly by date taken. Today I exported some old videos and photos from Apple's Photo Library app onto a flash drive and then imported into Windows app, using the "import" function.The "sort by" is date taken. All the photos appear in their proper places years/dates. But the videos all appear sort as though they were taken today.Property/details on the videos all show the proper dates taken years ago. With Windows 10 Photos app, you can browse your collection by date, album, or folder. Or search to find a specific person, place, or thing. When you open the Windows Photos app, the app fetches your photos and shows them as large thumbnails sorted
by the date they were taken.



The Collection section of the app shows the pictures sorted by the date taken. There are 3 boxes at the top right corner under Collections. Select the third box, scroll down to today’s date in previous year to see the pics which were taken or downloaded
on today’s date in previous year.

Photo App does not display the correct date taken.

I went through a folder of pictures and changed the properties on each photo to have the correct taken by date. I even changed the dated created on a few, but the photo app completely ignores these changes.

I also tried changing the photo taken date via the photo app. but, the date is still not correctly displaying. For example, the date taken is November 2nd,1995. but when sorted by date taken the photo app says February 4th, 2023. When sorted by date modified, the photo app shows today's date, which would be correct.

I also tried removing the folder from the photo app and adding it back after making changes to the photo properties, but this did not seem to make any difference. Photos are .jpg type.

Any Idea's on how I can get the photo app to update to the correct date?

 

Windows 11 Photos App will not sort by Date Taken.

I purchased PC with Windows 11 April 2022. When photos transferred from W10 they were organized by Date Taken which is what I have preferred for many years. When the automatic upgrade occured in Oct 2022 ALL of my photos are unorganized. Even if I click on option to sort by Date Taken they continue to be unorganized. I have checked that Date Taken is correct on most of the photos themselves. Under Dec-Jan 2022 uploads even my most recent uploaded photos are out of order and mixed in with those from 2015, 2017, 2020 etc. I use ICloud. On the nav bar on the left I have options of All Photos which number 18,481 and ICloud Photos which number 7987 photos which is pretty close to the correct number transferred from W10 and on my iphone. All photos include many many dups. Dates are out of order on each of these options. Again, Date Taken is mostly accurate on all original photos. I tried Photos Legacy but photos uploaded in same wrong order using Date Taken Can I delete all photos from W11 and reload from W10 photos (I have that PC) or from my iphone? Any other suggestions please. Thank you.
