    Photos app didn't start

mind the formatting I've been at this **** for hours now.

tried the windows app troubleshooter, useless as always.

    tried reset and repair, nothing.

can't open microsoft store because of course that has to also be broken.

tried wsreset.exe that also didn't start.

    tried:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.Windows.Photos remove-appxpackage

    followed by

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.Windows.Photos Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml”

seemed to complete but didn't change anything. now it doesn't do anything

    tried:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml"}

it gives many errors similar to the following:

also the related data in Program Files) bur didn`t work. Can you give me a hand with this please? Photos app didn't start :)

*Windows 10 has been updated 2 days ago but yesterday the apps worked properly.

  4. Photos app didn't start

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

    Hello,

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

    • On the Start menu, select Settings.
    • Go to System, then go to Default apps.
    • Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
      Photo viewer.

Update us if the steps above helped you in resolving your concern.
