Windows 10: Photos app no longer able to save trims, permission issue. W10 Version 1909 first instance...

[COLOR=rgba34, 34, 34, 1]Windows 10 version 1909 - Broke permissions for the "Photos" app. Unable to save trims as I am met with, "You do not have permission, try saving a copy" even when trying to save a copy.

So far I have changed the video's .mp4 permissions to "Everyone" and attempted to save a clip, reset the app, and repaired the app, however I am still met with the same pop-up. I was able to successfully trim clips and save them up until I reboot my computer and updated to 1909 a few weeks ago.

The file is not set to read-only.[/COLOR]

I am trying to trim a video in the Photo App Windows 10. Able to trim but unable to save the edits. Would appreciate any and all guidance.

I appreciate your interest in Photos app. We did try to reproduce the issue on our test systems and trimmed video was saved with the date and time on which it was edition. So the issue could be with photos app as you mentioned that you system time
is correct. I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the article:
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store. You can also try to re-install the app
using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
   
3. Once the above command is successful. You can either install the app from the store or type the following command in PowerShell:
   Reinstalling apps: Get-AppXPackage -allusers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Videos and photo trim W10

Hi Dexter, Thanks for jumping in here. As I understand it the single video must be split into two parts. Perhaps the first part will be 100% what I need. The second part will have the junk (from the original center portion) and the next desireable piece.
Then the junk will be removed from the second part and the two clean parts joined. I tried to follow the instruction but your first picture threw me for a loop. I opened my video and selected the pencil icon on the lower right which is "Edit in Photos." The
following menu does not look like your picture. The choices are: view in photos, edit in photos, trim, trim, draw, create slow motion video, save photo from video. I selected slow motion video and that was followed by "Slo-mo" and "save a copy." I adjusted
select speed and "save a copy." There is no option for name. Actually, I see the saved icon with a different picture, now I have three copies of the original: the original, the working copy, and the slomo version. What now? This was W8, upgrade to W10 18 months
ago.
