Windows 10: Photos screen saver vs SSMypics

In windows XP there was a screen saver program.. SSMYPICS that I copied and used all the way through Windows 7. I'd Copy the file to the system32 folder and used it for the screen saver. It has been working great until I used it on 10. I was able to tell it to use a certain folder that I maintained with images (business notices) that would display on end users screen. It shows it working in the setup screen but when I try to preview, it will not. SSmypics tool would also size the image and move it randomly across the screen in different patterns. The Photo screen saver only displays image as a picture and apparently does not size, move, or fade in the image.. at least not that I can configure. so my small pictures show large and static. It sure would be nice to have the old ssmypic screen saver back...

Hello,

This is how to set photos as your screensaver:

Step 1: Open Settings app. Navigate to Personalization > Lock Screen.

Step 2: Scroll down the Lock Screen settings page to see Screensaver settings link. Click Screen Saver settings link to open the classic Screen Saver Settings dialog.

Step 3: From the list of screensavers available, choose Photos from the drop-down dialog.

Step 4: By default, Windows 10 uses photos saved in the Pictures folder for the screensaver. If you want to change this location, click the Settings button to open Photos Screen Saver Settings dialog.

Step 5: Click the Browse button, select a folder and then click Ok button. Click Apply.

Note: If there are sub-folders under the selected folder, photos in subfolders will be used for screen savers as well. This may help since you want all of your photos to rotate.

You can have as many pictures as you like rotating and if you want to change them, just select a different folder or add and remove as desired to the existing folder.

• Right click your mouse on home screen
• Click on personalize
• On the left hand side you will find lock screen option
• Click on it and at the bottom of the page you will find screen saver settings.
• Select a photo from the drop down menu

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps:

• Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking on the start button and entering
  Screen saver in the search box.
• Under Screen saver, tap or click
  Photos.
• To change one or more of the screen saver settings, tap or click
  Settings, and then do one or more of the following:
  
• To change the speed of the slide show, tap or click the list next to
  Slide show speed(it will give three options Slow, Medium and Fast) select accordingly.
• If you want the photos to appear in a random order, select the
  Shuffle pictures check box.
• Tap or click Save to save the setting changes you made. Then tap or click
  OK in the Screen Saver Settings
  dialog box.
