Windows 10: Photoshop 7.0 with Windows 10

So I know lots of people have been having problems. However, all the answers I see are "Windows 10 is not compatible with the Photoshop version and you should update Photoshop." However, my computer, has Windows 10 and Photoshop 7, Has worked with no problem with my tablet or the program for a year. However, my laptop doesn't like either.


My file to download Photoshop 7.0 is missing, don't know how or why, and my tablet, even if I install the most updated drivers from the tablet's brand, doesn't seem to like letting my tablet be recognized as a tablet. My computer has no problems, but My Laptop does. About half a year ago, my laptop worked fine with Photoshop as well, and it had Windows 10 as well. My computer does not have the Photoshop's download file either, but I tried to look for it with no avail. I hope I can get help with this.


A few months ago, I contacted Microsoft and the encounter ended with my laptop doing a System Restart. However, my laptop never went back on from the restart, so I would have to force it to shut down and ruin the process, needing to completely restart the whole process again. I know for sure that this is my laptop that has the problem, and not Photoshop.

Photoshop 7 is not working in Windows 10

I realize the inconvenience that you are experiencing with Photoshop 7 in Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

The issue that you are experiencing that seems to be a Compatibility issue. Please try to run the program in compatibility mode and check.

To run the program in compatibility mode, please follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Right-click on the program file and click on ‘properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7/8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed
  with the installation.
  
• 
  Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persist.

Windows 10, Cannot 0pen saved Photoshop Elements 12 files.

I suggest you to set the default program to open the saved Photoshop files by following the steps below.

• Right click on the file and select Open With.
• Select the default program from the list.
• If Photoshop is not available, then click on browse and select the correct default program from the Program files.
• Click on OK.
