Windows 10: Picture It 99

I am sad that I can't seem to use this program anymore, because it is not compatible with Windows 10! The saddest part is, Microsoft has a great product and yet they can't stand behind it.........what the heck!!! In good faith I bought this product and I still want to be able to use it.......I don't want any company telling me that I have to purchase a newer version...........Microsoft, this is NOT RIGHT ;( !!!!

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder


Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

As Microsoft Picture It 99 is an old application, it might not be supported in Windows 10. However, I would suggest you to try installing the program in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right-click on the setup file of the program and select "Properties".

2. Select "Compatibility" Tab.

3. Place a check mark next to "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select the appropriate operating system from the drop down list.

4. Let the program install and then check the functionality.

If that doesn't help, I would suggest you to look for any other photo editing application from Windows store as a workaround.
