Windows 10: PIN and Face recognition not working

So the other day my computer prompted me to restart and update the computer, so it restarted and did a regular windows update. Once the update was completed everything was working ok until another update was prompted about 20 minutes later, and this one did not seem like a regular update. It took me to a white screen that said "BIOS" up the top and was doing some sort of "video update". It was different from the normal blue screen with dots going around in a circle. After this second update was completed face recognition did not work, and it the lock screen said:

"Your PIN is no longer available due to a change in the security settings on this device. You can setup your PIN again by going to settings > accounts > sign-in options."


So I did exactly this and when I clicked on PIN number it told me: "This option is currently unavailable-click to learn more."

Then below it was a link that read: "Sorry, this PIN isn't working for your organisation's resources. Tap or click here to fix it". So I clicked it and it brought me to a new screen, and I clicked the option for "Set Up PIN" and it told me "Something went wrong. Try again later".


It has been doing this for roughly 24 hours and I can't use my PIN or Windows hello. If you can help I would be very grateful, and even more so if you can tell me exact instructions instead of giving me a complicated link to follow (sorry, I'm quite the technophobe!).

These changes will be effective globally starting today.

Face recognition not working

Hi,

Recently my face recognition stopped working on my laptop and was asking for my pin instead. Since then I have attempted to get it to work again, I’ve reset my pin and attempted to setup face recognition again. The system goes
through all of the steps, once I hit OK at the end, it exits out the window and applies nothing.

All help would be brilliant,

PIN and Face recognition won't work

Yesterday my laptop froze (just before a critical presentation) and wouldn't restart. When eventually it did, my PIN and face recognition would not work and I kept getting an error code. When eventually, I used my password it did work but my PIN and face
recognition have stopped working. Any ideas?
