Windows 10: Pin isn’t available. Set Up Pin

Windows 11 on start says “ something happened and your PIN isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again”Click “Set up my pin” and a pop up says “search for app in app store? You need to install an app for this task. Yes or no? Click “yes” and im back to the pin isnt available.I have already uninstalled both quality and feature updates. Did nothing.I also did a full reset with “save my files” because I just had to reinstall windows 11 a few days ago wasnt working lost its sound and just reloaded everything on there yesterday I also have tried booting in safe mode and get the same “pin

Pin Login not available and can't change or remove my pin

Hi Saschavan,

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

To resolve this issue with your PIN, follow these step:

• Restart your computer first, then after that, open File Explorer and browse to this location:

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

• Delete everything within that folder.
• Go to Settings-> Accounts->Sign-in Options.
  
• Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.
  
• PIN sign in should work going forward.

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.
