Ping spikes on wired connection

I have been having this problem for a while now, about 2 weeks. I have done many of the cmd prompts such as ping google.com -t
ping 8.8.8.8 -t
ping router address
tracert google.com
When I ping google I get ping spikes but I dont get ping spikes when testing the router address, I have tried switching Ethernet cables, resetting the router and modem, but nothing seems to help. The ping spikes happen randomly
Router: Netgear R6300v2
I have also called the isp and they said to change the frequency channel to 7 and didn't help

Issue with ping spikes

Not sure if this is the right spot to put this, if not im very sorry.

Lately I've been receiving high ping spikes that only last a second or two every couple seconds, anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds apart. Pinging google.com from cmd gave me the information that I would spike anywhere from 400 to 2000 ms. After pinging my own modem I got the exact same results leading me to believe its internal. is there anyway to fix this without having to call my ISP, Rogers?

attached is the information from pinging my modem constantly. Same outcome through wired, wireless, and both together.

 

Ping Spikes

Every time i play a game my ping always spikes all the way up to

1000+ MS when my average is around 80-100 when its not spiking anyone knows how to fix? Please ive been dealing with this problem for 3 Months now
