Windows 10: Play Grip Combat Racing free July 4 to 7 with Xbox Live Gold

We’ve just launched our Grip Summer of Combat campaign and could think of no better way to celebrate than teaming up with Xbox for a Free Play Days event!

The Free Play Days event begins Thursday, July 4 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and runs through to Sunday, July 7 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. You can find and install the game here. To download on console, click on the Gold member area on the home dashboard on your Xbox One!

Grip really found its home with Xbox Game Pass, and the development team have been hard at work to continuously optimize the game and deliver free tracks and DLC packs for players. In fact, since hitting Xbox Game Pass we’ve added six new tracks, a new arena, team modes, new cars, and skin packs. Our biggest update to date was a massive surprise patch in May that brought anti-grav vehicles (AirBlades) to the track for the ultimate battle.
Throughout Grip‘s Summer of Combat campaign we will introduce new fan-requested tracks, a brand-new vehicle manufacturer, and a very special car that the team can’t wait to reveal alongside a host of new updates and content. If you dig the racing, you can keep playing thanks to Xbox Game Pass, or you can own a copy forever with 50% off until July 16 on the Microsoft Store.

Grip: Combat Racing

Inspired by the Rollcage games of the late 90s and backed by a highly-skilled and accomplished team, which includes Rollcage programming veteran, Robert Baker, Grip: Combat Racingcelebrates the re-emergence of blindingly fast, arcade combat racers, offering a true, wheel-gripping racing experience – where utter destruction serves one true purpose: be the first to cross the finish line.

In addition to its digital release on Xbox One, Grip: Combat Racing is available with Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Live Games With Gold For July 2017

Summer has officially arrived and we’re giving you plenty of reasons to stay inside with four exciting games coming to Games with Gold in July. For Xbox One, the open-world adventure game Grow Up will be available July 1 – 31, followed by the innovative (and colorful) racing game Runbow from July 16 to August 15. We’ll also have a couple of throwbacks to the Xbox 360 era thanks to Backward Compatibility. Grow Up
Living the life of a B.U.D. (Botanical Utility Droid) can be tough. Especially when your spaceship breaks into pieces and scatters across a planet filled with amazing plants and wondrous structures! As B.U.D., along with your friend P.O.D., you’ll traverse this open world and recover parts of your ship. Fly, climb, bounce, roll and complete challenges along the way in this wibbly wobbly fun adventure.

Runbow
A fast-paced party action game with a never before seen color mechanic. Up to nine players can race against each other locally or online as platforms and obstacles appear and disappear when the colored background changes. Go head-to-head in one of Runbow’s modes, including Arena, King of the Hill, ColourMaster, and The Bowhemoth.

Kane & Lynch 2
Play as two violent and disturbing criminals in the action shooter Kane & Lynch 2. Lynch, the psychopath, has his sanity on the edge at all times and Kane, the ex-mercenary, is disillusioned and desperate. Play as both in an epic single-player story driven campaign, or team up with a friend over Xbox Live.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
Time for a swashbuckling adventure in LEGO form. Play as characters from the classic film series, each with their own personalities and abilities, and join your friends in co-op play! The wide-open seas are full of bricks for the plundering in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game.

Play Overwatch Free August 23-27 with Xbox Live Gold

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to join the fight for the future as an agent of Overwatch, now’s your chance! From August 23–27, we’re calling on all prospective soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities: assemble your teams and dive in during the Overwatch free weekend event!If you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, you’ll be able to play with the full Overwatch roster of 28 heroes––including the newly released Wrecking Ball––across 18 maps set around the globe. You’ll have full access to Quick Play, Custom Games, and a variety of unique play options in the Arcade.

Player progression is unlocked as well, so you’ll be able to level up and earn limited-time Summer Games Loot Boxes. Plus, if you decide to purchase Overwatch, either this weekend or at a later date, you’ll keep any progress you made and achievements earned during the free weekend event––just be sure to use the same Xbox Live account that you played on.

The free period will begin at 11:00 a.m. PDT on Thursday, August 23 and will end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Monday, August 27 in all supported regions. Instructions on how to participate are below.

Step 1: Turn on your Xbox One and log in to your Xbox Live Gold account

Step 2: Go to the Microsoft Store, then select Search

Step 3: In the search field, type in Overwatch

Step 4: Select Overwatch: Legendary Edition from the search results and then click Free Trial

Step 5: Once the download and installation processes are complete, click Launch to begin!

I have a GOLD subscription and my son is listed as a family member. Yet when he is on the xbox he is not a gold customer and does;t seem to have access to xbox live. any suggestions?
