Windows 10: Play NBA 2K20 free on Xbox One during Free Play Days October 24-27 Xbox

To celebrate the tip off of NBA season, NBA 2K20 is now available for free during this weekend’s Free Play Days on Xbox One for all Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members! The Free Play Days event begins Thursday, October 24 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and runs through to Sunday, October 27 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

The next iteration of the top-selling and top-rated NBA video game simulation continues to redefine what’s possible in sports gaming. The game features best in class graphics & gameplay, ground breaking game modes, all 12 WNBA teams and unparalleled player control and customization. But before you take to the court, read our top tips and advice on how to make the most of your time in NBA 2K20 this weekend.

Top Tips on Offense:

Master the shot meter: There are two ways to shoot in NBA 2K, either hold the X button or use the right analog stick and release when the meter fills up. Each player’s meter fills up at different speeds, so master the timings to consistently score on opponents.

Pick and Roll: Hold LB to have a teammate come and block your opponent, giving you a chance to break free to drive to the rim, or attempt a three-point shot.

Top tips on Defense:

Protect the Rim: Press Y to attempt a block or if the shot has been missed, claim the rebound with the same button.

Pick your Opponents Pocket: If an opponent is attempting to get past you, press the X button at the right time to poke the ball free and regain possession.

Play Overwatch Free August 23-27 with Xbox Live Gold Xbox

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to join the fight for the future as an agent of Overwatch, now’s your chance! From August 23–27, we’re calling on all prospective soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities: assemble your teams and dive in during the Overwatch free weekend event!If you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, you’ll be able to play with the full Overwatch roster of 28 heroes––including the newly released Wrecking Ball––across 18 maps set around the globe. You’ll have full access to Quick Play, Custom Games, and a variety of unique play options in the Arcade.

Player progression is unlocked as well, so you’ll be able to level up and earn limited-time Summer Games Loot Boxes. Plus, if you decide to purchase Overwatch, either this weekend or at a later date, you’ll keep any progress you made and achievements earned during the free weekend event––just be sure to use the same Xbox Live account that you played on.

The free period will begin at 11:00 a.m. PDT on Thursday, August 23 and will end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Monday, August 27 in all supported regions. Instructions on how to participate are below.

Step 1: Turn on your Xbox One and log in to your Xbox Live Gold account

Step 2: Go to the Microsoft Store, then select Search

Step 3: In the search field, type in Overwatch

Step 4: Select Overwatch: Legendary Edition from the search results and then click Free Trial

Step 5: Once the download and installation processes are complete, click Launch to begin!

We’re excited to announce that all Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One can enjoy NBA 2K17 for free this weekend with Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days.

Beginning at 9:00am PST Friday, November 18 through 11:59pm PST Monday, November 21, Gold members in Xbox One markets will get a special opportunity to explore the world of NBA basketball. During this period, you’ll also have the option to purchase the game online from the Xbox Store with a 30 – 40% discount and continue playing.

During this weekend’s Free Play Days event, you can ball out in arcade style street ball, go off-roading in bikes and ATVs, and scavenge your way across a post-war Norway.
