The only choices in NVIDIA Control Panel is 3D Setting, and under that is "Adjust image settings with preview" "Mangae 3D settings" "Set PhysX Configuration.

    Hey Popeng,
    1. Long shot, but in Device Manager > Monitors do you have more than just the Generic Pnp Monitor.
    2. Have you checked the Intel Control Panel, just to see what it's set at or if you can change resolution there.
    3. You could use DDU to completely uninstall the Intel & Nvidia drivers and let windows install the drivers it wants. Official Display Driver Uninstaller DDU Download

  7. I would say the missing options is part of the issue. If it was me, I'd backup any files you don't want to lose, and do another factory restore. Then have another look at things. Don't install any drivers manually until you have a good look around and see what's what.

Your Nvidia Control Panel (Optimus) is correct, they are confusing you by putting up a Desktop Nvidia Control Panel.
There is nowhere to set resolution. There is nothing wrong there.

Right click on an empty space on your Desktop > (Intel icon) Graphics Properties.... > Display

What choices do you have under the resolution drop down box ?

In the second image look up (Google) the Hardware ID of the Display Panel. In my case an LG TN Panel 1366 x 768 resolution.
This is merely to confirm what the actual display Panel is.

When you do a factory reset it should be exactly the same as when you bought your Laptop.

The reason for looking at the Intel iGPU Control Panel is because that driver should always be installed first then the Nvidia Driver. If the first is not working properly then the second (Nvidia) won't either.

    Do not use DDU.
If you don't have an Optimus Laptop, please don't post and confuse the OP.

    @Helmut
im not confusing OP here, im asking because i dont know. The specification of my laptop said that 1920x1080 is the native resolution. I don't know much about this, thats why im asking for help. By the way thanks for sharing.

  10. I think it should be mandatory for manufacturers to have recovery disk to be included on every purchase of a laptop.

  11. It might be a good idea to go to Download Drivers and Manuals | Acer Official Site to look for the manual for your computer.
EDIT: I agree with the recommendations to do a new factory restore but I believe it's also a good idea to have the appropriate manual available also.

  12. They may not all included them (heck my Alienware 17r4 has no optical drive) but they give you a way to create one typically and usually prompt you to when you first boot up the computer from new. For my laptop, the recovery media is downloadable from Dell and then you put it on a USB thumb drive. Previous laptops I've owned had you burn an image file to a DVDR.

There is usually a utility built in to create recovery media. Not many actually ship the physical media with the device though. And you usually get nagged reminded to create said media.

  15. @Popeng

Do as @Helmut suggested. Go to Device Manager and lookup the hardware ID of your display. Then post that ID here so we can confirm that your display is FHD or just HD.

I can also confirm that on an Optimus Laptop the nVidia Control panel should look exactly as @Helmut posted and that all settings related to resolutions are done in the Intel Display Control Panel.
