Discus and support PLEASE i need help with microsoft store acting up in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Hi! i am trying to download Age of empires definitive edition on microsoft store,which BTW is a game pass game(that detail might be important later)...   1. PLEASE i need help with microsoft store acting up


    Hi! i am trying to download Age of empires definitive edition on microsoft store,which BTW is a game pass game(that detail might be important later) and i have a small list of problems which have had me scratching my head for the last 6 days..

    • right now, the main problem is that the install button is with the red "prohibited" symbol when i hover on top install and i cannot click install. i have already tried:
    1. delete microsoft store cache
    2. signed out and back in to my ms account(might be of importance: i am trying to download using the ms account where the game was bought, while i use a different ms account for my windows os)
    3. checked that time and date are o.k
    4. did the powershell thing where you :
    • PowerShell with admin rights
    • set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned answer with "Y"
    • Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml"}

    3. used the windows trubleshooter, which said something that had to do with the store cache was missing or corrupt, but it fixed it...

    1. updated windows to the latest version(1909:18363.1082)

  2. Microsoft Store is not working

    Hi,

    Thank you for responding.

    Do let us know the exact issue you are facing in accessing the Windows Store?

    Have you tried to reset the Windows Store as stated in the above response?

    If the issue still persists after deploying the above troubleshooting steps, try the below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
    and check.

    Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter, troubleshoots problems that may prevent Windows Store Apps from working correctly.

    1. Press
    Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Control Panel.

    2. In the
    Control Panel window, select Category and then select
    Large icons.

    3. Click on
    Troubleshooting.

    4. Click
    View all and then click Windows Store Apps.

    5. Click
    Next and follow on-screen instructions.

    Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

    Steps:

    • Connect to the internet.
    • Press Windows key and type
      updates.
    • Click on Check for updates.
    • Under Windows Updates, click on
      Check for updates.
    • Try to install the updates being shown.

    ACT Pro 2013 will not open in Windows 10

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    The most likely causes on a standalone are a damaged or invalid .pad file or SQL is not running, or is damaged.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.


      • Click your Windows Start button, choose Run and type in actdiag.


      • When ACT! Diagnostics comes up, click Databases, the Database List.


      • Locate your database in the list, right-click on it and select Detach. Make sure you know the filepath to your database before detaching it.


      • When the database has been detached, open My Computer (or Windows Explorer) and browse to the location of your database.


      • Locate the .PAD file for your database [database name].pad and delete it.


      • Reopen ACT!...you will get a message that the last database opened cannot found, then will be taken to the Open Database dialog box.


      • At the bottom of this box, change the Files of Type to .adf, browse to the location of your database and double-click on the .adf file for your database.


      • You will get a message that ACT! will verify your database, click OK and ACT will reattach your database to SQL and create a new .pad file.

      • Hope this helps.
