    too bad to hear Linux Mint is trying to be another Ubuntu, but as others noted, it is advertised as being for newbies. Glad to see that the mentioning of CentOS in the first post was in error. I share a Linux server with a buddy if mine and we agreed that CentOS was the way to go specifically because it had no extra bloat to it. I have to agree with others about Windows having unnecessary apps these days. When I first installed Windows 10, it had a news app, stocks app, maps app, and bunch of other apps I found unnecessary. I uninstalled them, but on both upgrades it reinstalled them.
