Windows 10: Please wait while we install a system update

The last Windows 10 Update has rendered my computer unusable. It was working fine, then the update, and now I cannot get to the Windows screen.

I have a black screen that says Please wait while we install a system update. I let this be overnight - with no access two days later.

I have attempted to use a boot disk to get to repair. I have spent hours researching, watching videos and requesting help from friends. There is no suggestion that works.

It looks like many are having many different types of issues.

How does Microsoft resolve these issues?

In order to assist you further with the issue could you please confirm a couple of things:

• What do you mean by the statement updates are waiting to occur?
• Aren't you able to see the downloads/updates?
• Isn't the updates getting installed on your computer?

Nevertheless, I suggest you to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter and check if these helps.
Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type ‘Troubleshooting’, and press
  enter.
• Click on ‘System and Security' and select
  ‘Windows Update' then click on next to run the troubleshooter.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
