Windows 10: Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator

I'm facing problem in Plug and Play Devices

I recently updated my Windows 10 and now when I plug in my headphones , they do not work. When I go to Device Manager and then open Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator , it shows that there's no Device or Driver to disable or uninstall respectively. How can I install this driver. Kindly give me response. Thank You.

Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator Error Code 52

Essentially, even though Windows says my plug & play device enumerator is up-to-date, it really isn't. I need a way to manually install an update.

A few solutions that haven't worked:

When I click "update driver" I'm told its already up-to-date.

I can't roll back the driver (the option is grayed-out).

I haven't tried uninstalling it because I've read elsewhere that people can't reinstall it afterwards and that scares me.

Details:

My plug-and-play software device enumerator Driver is up-to-date according to Windows (Driver version 10.1.14393.0, as of April 7th, 2017)

In the device manager the Plug&Play hardware has a little "!" on the icon. Clicking the icon, then, Details, then (from the drop-down-menu) Problem Code, the value is 34 (its 00000034, if that's important).

Its "status" (from the drop-down menu) is:

01802401

DN_Root_ENUMERATED

DN_Has_Problem

DN_Disableable

DN_NT_ENUMERATOR

DN_NT_DRIVER

Also: Under the "General" Tab of the Plug & Play details, it says "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged,
or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)".

Does anyone know how to resolve this error code? I'm assuming it requires an update to Plug and Play, but if there's a work-around (like not requiring Plug and Play to validate new hardware drivers) I'd be ok with that solution too!

Also, can you check the following registry key (Class Guid for Plug and Play Enumerator)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e97d-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

Can you post a screen shot of the adjacent right window at that registry key?

Hi Matthew,

The error you're getting in the Device Manager may be caused by unsigned or corrupted driver. To resolve this, manually install the driver with the latest driver downloaded from your hardware manufacturer's website. Below are the steps to
do it:

• Search Device Manager in Cortana, the search box on your task bar.
• Right-click on the driver that's having an issue, and then select Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software.
• Select Browse > select the location where the driver files are stored >
  OK.
• Select Next > follow the steps to install the driver >
  Close.
• Restart your computer.
