Discus and support PNG files only 96 DPI when they are 300 DPI Why? in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Can someone please tell me why my PNG files are reading as only 96 DPI when they are 300 DPI?     Can someone please tell me why my PNG files are reading as only 96 DPI when they are 300 DPI? I'm running Windows 10.

    Thank you Elise,

    Someone suggested using GIMP, a free app, and I found that it is easier to change photo resolution to 300 dpi.

    How do I set to 96 dpi in Windows 10

    I figured it out myself and for others who want the answer please read the following.

    Please follow the procedure below to change the dpi to 96 in Window 10.

    • On the desktop page right click and chose View.
    • from the submenu chose Small Icons.
    • Your display resolution is set to 96 dpi.
