Windows 10: PnP Detected Fatal Error Fix for some Users

Hello Everyone!


I had this problem for quite a while, when I wanted to update my Windows 10 to 1909 from 1809. It caused this blue screen error and I became anxious as I have my middle school research files in my drive. They are really important and all those games and anime that I downloaded for countless nights.


Now enough of the chit chat! For some users that encounter this error, those "General Fixes" presented by other sites and some Microsoft threads may not work for you, like what I have experienced. The main culprit for this annoying error for some is the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Manager Driver, or the Intel DPTF Manager Driver. I really do not know why but from my hours of rebooting to safe mode deleting apps and drivers back and forth this one fixed my problem.


You only need to first uninstall the driver/device using Device Manager. Press Windows Key+X and select Device Manager. Depending on the situation, Intel DPTF Manager may be listed under its own category or listed as an Unknown Device under Other Devices with an exclamation point and yellow sign, with an error code 28.


But do not be fooled by what it says! You may end up boot loops of blue screens of death when you install or update the driver for this. Do not repeat the mistake I have done. If Intel DPTF Manager is still under its own category, uninstall the device by right clicking it then properties, then find Uninstall Device including Driver Important!.


Next, go to Actions in the Menu Bar and click Check for Hardware Changes. Intel DPTF Manager should be listed under Other Devices as an Unknown Device. Right click it and go to Properties again, but this time only Disable it. If you uninstall it you may come across another Blue Screen of Death with the same error or Windows Update will just reinstall it again. This is completely safe since you are not deleting the Intel DPTF as a whole, only the unstable Manager. I hope my experience can help others as well that also had a similar issue!

stop code: pnp detected fatal error

I get the following error when shutting down

" stop code : pnp Detected Fatal error"

 

PNP detected fatal error

After upgrading to windows 10, the computer is always giving me a blue screen with sad face and says that its a pnp detected fatal error . Then the computer restarts automatically . I searched a lot for answers but it was worthless ! Please help ...

 

Fatal Error

I've been trying to format my system but right after it finishes formatting I get a Fatal Error during the Windows installation process. That Fatal Error is a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). I know that it's because of my hard drives, but how do I fix this issue? I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA II Hard Drives in RAID 0. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. *Smile
