Windows 10: Poor laptop performance after SSD upgrade

Hello, I own an Asus Laptop which initially had a 1 HDD with a DVD Drive slot. After a year I decided to install an SSD. So I went to a computer repair shop and asked to replace the DVD Drive with a SATA SSD. But I don't know why he did this. He opened the DVD writer; fine. He should then install the SATA SSD using a caddy. But to my surprise, he instead opened the existing HDD from where it was and installed the SSD in the HDD's slot, and then he installed the HDD in the caddy and mounted the caddy in the DVD writer area.I did a clean installation of Windows 11 in the SSD and I saw a great im

There are several reasons why devices encounter poor performance. It may due to the memory capacity of the hard disk, malware and virus, out-of-date drivers, programs running on background, and some other reasons. There are different ways to solve the performance
issue depending on what's causing it.

We'd like to learn more about your concern, so we can determine the best solution. Can you provide the answer to the following questions:

• What is your device and its specification?
• Are you using multiple programs at the same time?
• Is this happening to all programs you open?
• Is this happening upon start up or just randomly?
• What type of upgrade did you do to your PC?

Poor Performance..

Ehh, well that didn't work...everything went well during the flash nothing went wrong, but no changes... Still low framerates...and poor performance...and other suggestions anybody?

 

Upgraded Win7 to Win10 - now very slow boot-up and poor performance

Hello @dalchina - thanks for those suggestions. Here's a response on the latter set of points.

Task Manager screenshot is this... (just the top part of a long list, ranked high-low by memory-usage column).





My HDD has several partitions (as it's dual booted with Linux). The C: drive on which Win10 is installed is 201GB, and there's 32.6 GB free.... which seems to me quite full. But I wonder - is that because the "old" Windows files from the upgrade I did yesterday are still being saved and stored?

Meanwhile I will research the Windows Performance Analyser and Recorder, with which I'm not familiar.
