Windows 10: Portable Windows 10 Failure?

I installed windows 10 on my portable drive as I need to use my music production software on different devices, it's a full install of windows 10 u1809, created by following the same process of installing windows on local disk. It worked well on three devices although there are hardware differences. But it failed to load on a specific machine, with a black dos-like screen prompting "preparing for automatic repair, loading files...".(Note that it's a black screen, not the Metro style one) I then tried to boot on another machine and it worked. Boot failure only appeared on the specific machine.


I was unable to access advanced boot menu because the prompt appears before boot menu.


I encountered similar problem before because I installed Primocache and it's "hardware related", but this time I'm sure not having similar software installed.


I think there was no actuall failure at all, is there any method to skip this, or windows itself doesn't support being used this way?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
