Windows 10: Portrait mode not working on the second monitor

Hi, I need some help over here! Im on Windows 10, I have just bought an arm for two of my monitors. I have one, main monitor which i want to be on the landscape mode, and the other monitor which i use for browsing net while playing game etc. to be on portrait mode. Now the problem is that when i try to change my other monitor which i want to browse on to portrait mode, I do evertything as said display settings orientation and all the stuff but I get a message thats says: The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination of display settings. Im really furious at th

Window Snapping - Portrait Monitors

I understand this question has been asked years ago. I'm looking to just continue bugging Microsoft to implement such a simple feature.

When operating with a secondary monitor in portrait mode, why is there no keyboard shortcut to snap to the top/bottom halves of the portrait monitor?

I should clarify that I have used effective work arounds in the past few years; primarily DisplayFusion. However, when I am limited by my employers hardware that uses Windows 10, it is frustrating to be reminded that default Windows 10 is not that supportive of Portrait mode monitors.

 

I accidentally hit the update button instead of postpone and now my second monitor does not work.

I suggest you to unplug the cable from the monitor and connect to the second monitor, and check if it works.

Also, suggest you to follow the below steps, and check if it helps.
1. Press Windows + X, and select Device manager.
2. Check if the second monitor is listed under Monitor.

Windows 10 External Monitor only :: How to set Portrait orientation?

I surmise the need for step recorder is not common enough to justify enabling the option for Intel driver.

Screen Capture Mouse Cursor position on External Monitor is why I create this post.

When it cannot capture Mouse Position, I use Steps Recorder but it records both Displays...

My Screen Capture is used for following:

1. Power Automate Cloud
   
2. Office 365
   
3. communicate to Tech Support
   

Hoping Microsoft would add features to next version of

1. Step Recorder
   
2. Snip App(s)
   
3. Windows Display setting
   

Assuming most users like me need

1. Mouse cursor position captured by Snip App(s)
   
2. External monitor, when used, is often
   
   1. to extend Display
      
   2. used for important task(s)
      
   3. App such as Office is on External Display
      
   4. Laptop monitor for secondary task(s)
      
   5. Step Recorder is to demo use of Single App, therefore External Monitor
      
   6. Portrait oriented for capturing web pages like Power Automate
